HONOR & DRESS CODE
Thank you for choosing to be a student of JOY Academy of Southern Nevada: a faith-based, nondiscriminatory school that is open to students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin.
As a student at the Academy you are expected to make good choices with how you behave and how you treat others. Following is the expected Honor Code, based on the JOY Articles of Learning:
**USE OF TECHNOLOGY: Any student or JOY family member found to be using technology in or out of school, to bully or engage in any conversation, or to send pictures, that makes someone uncomfortable, OR is not kind, respectful, or appropriate will follow the consequences for not following the code. (see below)
IF students have cell phones or access to internet, we expect Parents to monitor its use.
JOY CELL PHONE POLICY: Cell phones are NOT to be used during school hours except in case of emergency. Cell phones are to be kept in backpacks.
Consequences for not following either Honor or Dress code:
JOY Academy students are expected to uphold these Codes when attending each day or participating in any JOY Academy activity.
I understand that it is my choice to be at JOY Academy. By signing the form I agree to follow the Honor and Dress Code and acknowledge understanding of the consequences for not following either Code.
Parents and students are expected to review forms and commit to expectations each school year.
