volunteering

Parents are encouraged to volunteer time and resources as they are able. Volunteers will be asked to help fund and support JOY Academy through the following committees or activities:

• Fundraising – being on the committee and/or participating in writing grants, seeking donations from businesses and individuals interested in supporting our goal of educating children to be lifelong, self-directed learners. 
• Field Trips/Activities – coordinating monthly, outside/off-campus learning activities and guest speakers.
• Giving of your time to: 
  1. Assist a teacher inside the classroom, or outside the classroom preparing materials.
  2. Be a TEAM Leader 1 – 2 times a week, for 1 hour on your Team’s day.
  3. Assist in custodial duties – daily, weekly, and monthly.
  4. Assist the Office – answering the phone, preparing materials, etc.
